A Little Bunny Who Couldn't Sleep
Pip and Bobo's Sleepy Meadow

In a cozy little burrow, tucked beneath the roots of an old willow tree… lived a small bunny named Pip.

Pip had the softest grey fur, two long floppy ears… and a tiny pink nose that twitched whenever he was thinking.

Tonight, the moon was round and bright. The stars were peeking through the leaves. And everyone in the burrow was fast asleep…

Everyone… except Pip.

He wiggled to the left. He wiggled to the right. He fluffed his little pillow of moss… and he tucked his paws under his chin.

But his eyes — his small, shiny eyes — just would not close.

Pip sighed a tiny bunny sigh. Ohhh… Then he sat up, very slowly, and listened to the night.

Somewhere outside, a cricket was singing. A breeze was humming through the grass. And the meadow… the meadow was glowing.

Pip tilted his head. His nose twitched, twitch, twitch. Maybe… just maybe… a little hop outside would help.

So on his tiny tiptoe paws, Pip crept past his sleeping family. Past the warm pile of bunny tails. Past the bowl of clover left from supper…

And out, into the silver, sleepy night.
