A Little Light in the Grass
Luna, Theo, and the Sleepy Star

In a forest where the trees whispered secrets to the moon, the night was usually full of tiny twinkles… little stars blinking high above the leaves.

But on this particular evening, something rather magical happened. One small star — the sleepiest of them all — yawned a great big yawn… and slipped right off its cloud.

Down, down, down it floated, like a feather made of light. It landed in the soft grass with the tiniest *tink*… and there it lay, glowing very, very faintly.

Nearby, a brave little lion cub named Theo was tiptoeing home. His paws were small, his mane was fluffy, and his heart was as big as a moon.

He stopped. He sniffed. He blinked his round golden eyes. Something in the grass was… glowing.

Theo crept closer — one paw, then another — until he saw it. A little star, no bigger than his nose, blinking sleepily up at him.

"Oh," Theo whispered. "Hello, little light. Are you lost?"

The star gave the smallest, drowsiest twinkle, as if to say… *yes*.

Just then, a soft *whoosh* of wings drifted down from the branches above. It was Luna, the wise owl, with feathers the colour of moonlight.

"Well, well," Luna hooted kindly. "What have we here?"

"Luna!" said Theo. "A star fell down! A real, true star! And — and I think it needs help getting home."

Luna tilted her wise round head and looked at the tiny glow in the grass. "Then home it shall go," she said. "And we, dear Theo… shall take it there."
